Some questions we get asked
The simple answer is Linux!. This open source operating system offers so much more than conventional ops such as Windows and Apple. Many of the 245,000, yes thats right 245,000 programs are free to use. Some are paid for but the costs are considerably lower than the conventional graphic programs such as Photoshop, Adobe In-line etc. and we don't need to pass on those costs to our clients.
Again the simple answer is yes. We've now been using Linux for all our office and graphic work for over 20 years and in that time we have never experienced a virus and the security features are such that we now use Linus servers exclusively for all our hosting. Even our Cloud servers run Linux. You can download the most popular version of Linux from Ubuntu
The new open office replaces office but if you still want to run some windows programs you can install Vuirtual Box and install any version of Windows to run inside your Linux environment, but always remember to use Linux as the base operating system for your emails. Using Windows inside Linus without any form of virus control might still leave you open to attack.

As an example on the economy packages for small business users the average quarterly invoice raised to the client is between £50 - £80. Most of the changes take less than 15 minutes and it's simply is not worth raising monthly invoices for small amounts of money, so unless the invoice run into £100's we usually only invoice once every three months. Our update rate calculates out at 67p per minute and unlike most design houses we bill for the minutes rather than a minimum charge.
AObviously if you change content ever week the charges could end up being considerably higher. But the clients who do usually still only pay less than £150 per month.
